  • 1 hot dog bun
  • 1 sausage (pork, turkey, chicken…)
  • 1/2 avocado (known as avocado in Chile)
  • 1/2 tomato
  • Sauerkraut (cabbage with julienne cut, oil, salt, vinegar to be sautéed in frying pan)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • A few drops of lemon
  • Salt and pepper


Steam the sausage for 3 to 5 minutes or 30 to 45 seconds in the microwave.

Peel the avocado and mash it in a food processor with a little salt, pepper and a few drops of lemon juice.

When you have the bread toasted, cut it, but do not make two parts, do not cut it on one side, leave it in the shape of a butterfly.

Take the bread with one hand and open it, on the bottom put the sauerkraut lengthwise, place the sausage in the middle, on the sausage a little tomato sauce in zigzag, on one side put tomato cut in small squares, on the other side spread the avocado.

Serve with a cold beer. If possible, we recommend an austral calafate.
